Twitter and Semantics

I just checked my tweets to find this mystifying message. Here is a challenge for you English Language students who are learning about semantics.

This scribd show demonstrates how to create apps for i phone or pod. Well worth a look.

Most schools are still not quite sure about this. After all, it does raise all sorts of issues as far as safety and security not to mention the bandwidth problem. I plan on doing research into how these have been used throughout Australia and elsewhere and then recording the results here.

This site has amazing links for teachers looking for useful IWB resources. It is definitely one of the first places I would look.

The TED conference is on and for those of us not able to attend we are lucky enough to have access to a fantastic website with thought provoking videos on a range of topics. As well as a huge variety of topics you can read a transcription of the talk you are interested in, you can comment and join the discussions and you can sort through themes and topics and then store them in your personal space.

One of the interesting things is the fact that some diigo users have also gotten involved and added in comments about some of the talks too. The one that I read was begun by Bill Ebert who has a problem with liberal thinkers and decided to choose TED as a place to air his views. The responses ranged from amused to disgruntled and even attacking.
